About JUMP
JUMP For Entrepreneurs, an initiative by the Western Cape Government’s DEDAT, empowers South African entrepreneurs with essential tools and resources. JUMP needed a launch strategy to build a solid digital presence and strong user engagement from the start.
Barrk Marketing stepped in to handle all communications (website, social media, SMS, email, paid ads, flyers, posters—the works). Our mission was to quickly boost visibility, drive app sign-ups, and build the brand across multiple channels.

Skydiving PR Event
We assisted with a high-impact skydiving event featuring the Minister of Economic Opportunities at the time, Beverley Schäfer.
The event generated significant media coverage and led to a spike in app downloads, further boosting JUMP’s visibility and credibility.
Business Impact
Our all-in approach delivered impressive outcomes in the first year. We built a solid user base from scratch, reaching over 3,000 users and making a real impact in the entrepreneurial community.
The digital strategies we implemented led to a 660% boost in app downloads, proving that our campaigns were on point. Additionally, the social media launch generated immediate engagement, with 522 new Facebook likes in the first month.
The Skydiving PR event was a major success, gaining media coverage which caused a surge in app downloads, further enhancing JUMP’s credibility.
